Voisiko olla niin, että Sirt on hyvin itsenäinen ja omaa voimakkaan tahdon pysyä erossa tästä sodasta.  Että he olisivat sallineet Gaddafin joukkojen vain mennä kaupungin läpi ja pitää tukikohtiaan sen eteläpuolella.
Tällaista voisi toivoa....
